'Earth Stood Still'

WILY SLICK.  That's the amusing film, 'The Day The Earth Stood Still.'  I found this rather devilish film nice and bizarre when I watched it on TCM last night.  M. Rennie did fine work in this crusty, old classic.

THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy.  He does not use too many adjectives.  His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.
