'Mob City'

MOOD. HISTORIC PIECES are sometimes difficult to encapsulate. But the new show, 'Mob City' on TNT manges to pull off the ambience, mood concept in a satisfying manner. I watched this new thing last night on my tv and was enchanted by this scrumptious L.A. story of the famed California tough guys, Mickey Cohen, Buggsy Siegel, Meyer Lansky et. al. The story line is sleek on this piece of work and the directing work by the so-creative Frank Darabont is terrifically refreshing. I feel the imaginative use of exciting night club jazz gives a saxophone, sensuous zing to the story, producing a seductive snare to plunge the viewer deep into the multi-layered plotline.

THIS 'MOB CITY' truly rocks as the pundits say. Last night, the acting job that Edward Burns did as the crafty Ben, 'Buggsy' Siegel was very passionate. Frank Darabont has produced strong work with this exquisite panorama on life in the wild Los Angeles in the cunning 1940s.

Nice Writing

THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy.  He does not use too many adjectives.  His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.
