Glenn Ford

SOME  ACTORS ARE ODD. This is true of many crafty souls who bounce between genres a lot. This cadre includes guys like the canny Glenn Ford. He did many Westerns. But he goes with the hard-boiled man at times. A tough male bit is the acting job he did on the gangster brand movie tagged 'The Big Heat.' Ford is slick, a bit bizarre, but still he somehow manages to get the job done in 'The Big Heat.' This film is kind of amusing despite its uneven social rhapsodizing.

Nice Writing

THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy.  He does not use too many adjectives.  His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.
