Tom Petty: Sounds That Really Touch You
Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers have a music style that is loaded with gigantic emotion. That's a super ingredient to have in one's music. The best thing about Tom Petty Songs is the fact they have a strong "hook." They really get you. Listened to two solid Tom Petty numbers today....'Free Falling' and "Don't Come Around Here Anymore.' On this so rainy, rugged weather day the giant sounds of Tom Petty and his people were just the right thing for me.

I feel that the music of Tom Petty is so haunting and raw and somehow just "right" for it fits so well into the cubbyholes of one's brain (thank you, Napoleon) and in many ways the great sounds of Mr. Petty bring back tremendously fine memories to many of us.
