Snow Culture Shows Georgians' Strength
This is a Snow Culture Blog about Georgia people and their resolve. It is rough again today here in my part of Metro Atlanta.....Stone Mountain, GA. Since Sunday we have had so much ice, snow and tons of problems with people trying to clear freeways, roads and side streets. But through it all I am struck by the passion and strength of the Georgia people. I say it strong....I am PROUD of my people. We are not used to this insane crushing winter and yet we have great, strong blood and like characters out of Dickens or Faulkner books we keep on "keeping on." Faulkner's folks in 'Sound and the Fury' had good resolve. Maybe, soon the situation will ease and we can ease up on this frenzy of edgy feeling slammin' through us. Driving on ice is so nerve-wracking. But like Tiny Tim in Dickens 'Christmas Carol' or the powerful men in Dostoyevsky's 'Brothers Karamazov' we keep moving on, going about our now massively enriched creative lives. God Bless all the Great Women and Great Men of the South!

Nice Writing
THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy. He does not use too many adjectives. His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.

COOLING OFF WITH WEST COAST JAZZ is loads of fun. The temp is wildly hot now and so I listened to Art Pepper jazz, grand West Coast stuff....
