Mailer the Strong Man
NORMAN MAILER works are passionate...his Miami Siege of Chicago and 'Armies of the Night' prove culturally picaresque over and over.
Mark Rothko
COLORFUL AND AMUSING Mark Rothko has an art styled that hits home in a resounding way. Like Georges Roualt. Rothko seems shrewd, indeed.
Mr. Saul Bellow
CHICAGO GUY Saul Bellow Gets it. His sly works of social poignancy like 'Augie March' and 'Henderson have big dollops of sleekness.

John O'Hara Was A Divine Social Critic
HEMINGWAY liked John O'Hara and that goes for me too. His social constructs on the harsh aspects of high society are valid depictions pouncing on the brusque variables of American life. His 'Appointment in Samarra' and 'Ten North Frederick' rocked along like a an absurd Benny Goodman riff. I loved the crazy book called 'Butterfield 8' because it had so much zing.

Sylvia Plath the Enigma
POETRY is a profound business. The weird poems of the tragic American poet, Sylvia Plath overwhelm us. Her words in the poem 'Child' and the odd story 'Bell Jar' so movingly engage us. This woman who did suicide was disturbing and so unusual and so passionate.
The Sleek and So Imaginative Man of Barcelona
Joan Miró i Ferrà (Catalan: [ʒuˈan miˈɾo]; 20 April 1893 – 25 December 1983) was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and ceramicist born in Barcelona. This fierce man of the incredible powerhouse arts was a vibrant soul of the surrealist genre. His electrifying art scenarios were daring and rich with an explosive dialectic of their own. When one looks at one of this master's painting then one is instantly overwhelmed. His vision like that of the raging Wassily Kandinsky jumps right off the painting's surface and slashes into your consciousness in a brazen, breakthrough way. Like the crashing and so irreverent jazz musical art of the provocative jazz alto saxophonist Charlie Parker this individual, the merry Senor M. the Catalan is stupendous in his crackling and strong passionate art message. I enjoy the vigorous surrealism of the explosive grand one, Joan Miró i Ferrà. He is a massive man of art.....A TRULY GREAT ONE!

Nice Writing
THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy. He does not use too many adjectives. His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.
