'The Killers'

BURT LANCASTER AND AVA GARDNER are wonderful acting souls. Late last night, I watched the sleek, wild Ernest Hemingway story-like film noir movie, 'The Killers' and I tell you it was very compelling with its astute blendings of so many cinematic elements.  I think Burt Lancaster has a sharp sense of style and in this rugged movie when one mixes in the tough, so virile, Edmond O'Brien, the insurance investigator, then a vivid recipe of engaging film cooking comes to the thrilling forefront. I enjoy the ethos of fine film noir craftings and this '46 gem certainly has grand amounts of very good movie stuff. The unique and so strong screen presence of Lancaster is a lot of fun to watch and the sly counterpoint of the feral female A. Gardner is  intensely clever and rather unique.

Nice Writing

THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy.  He does not use too many adjectives.  His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.
