The Complexities of the Vietnam Era
VIETNAM! This word stirs up so many unusual memories for many of us. I had so many close friends in that one and though I was in Okinawa during that time I felt incredible closeness to buddies going to Nam. I have thought many times about the odd, psychic variables that were part of the Viet experience. Those of us who are still going remember all the very brave ones who went through Vietnam...Filmmakers like Coppola understood it well. There is a powerful strain of pasion that streams through all individuals who have had war.

Nice Writing
THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy. He does not use too many adjectives. His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.

COOLING OFF WITH WEST COAST JAZZ is loads of fun. The temp is wildly hot now and so I listened to Art Pepper jazz, grand West Coast stuff....
