Movies About People With Problems
NEW TREND DEVELOPING in the arena of popular movies. Well, actually this started quite some time ago. I think the popular 'Silver Linings Playbook' film explores this situation well. Also even the old Elizabeth Taylor films like 'Butterfield 8' and 'Suddenly Last Summer' did a good job of explaining this kind of human experience i.e. the world of men and women with gigantic emotional difficulties. It is grand that this cultural cinematic trend is taking place because this material educates us about how we all think and certainly that is very beneficial.

Nice Writing
THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy. He does not use too many adjectives. His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.

COOLING OFF WITH WEST COAST JAZZ is loads of fun. The temp is wildly hot now and so I listened to Art Pepper jazz, grand West Coast stuff....
