Good Turner Fun
I SAW A GREAT FILM last night on Turner Classic. It was the 1931 movie, 'Smart Movie' starring Mary Astor. This gem, directed by Gregory La Cava, is quite modern in its ideas. It is hard to believe so much provocative modernism could be contained in a 1931 film release. The commentary and saucy wit in this 'Smart Woman' script was so enjoyable.

SAW 'PRISONERS' today. Outstanding, sleek work by Hugh and Jake, This film has wild stuff. This is a quite monumental film.
