'The Lady From Shanghai'
RITA HAYWORTH AND ORSON WELLES! ......What fabulous souls of the acting sphere! Watched the engaging film of the mighty 1948,,,,the superb one, 'The Lady From Shanghai.' This movie is a delight, a visual smorgasboard of so many grand, cinematic layers. The refined and so brilliant acting styles of Orson Welles and the clever Rita Hatworth are quite remarkable.

Nice Writing
THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy. He does not use too many adjectives. His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.

COOLING OFF WITH WEST COAST JAZZ is loads of fun. The temp is wildly hot now and so I listened to Art Pepper jazz, grand West Coast stuff....
