Constance Bennett....Vibrant Acting Force

MUCH FUN LATELY watching old 1930s films with the engaging star, Constance Bennett.  This lady much like the clever Jean Harlow is quite a creative force.  It is so much fun watching a really charming female soul working so much in the grand manner making films come alive for all of us movie enthusiasts.

Sam's culture joy!

Nothing like Sam's in this very beautiful season of the year.

Grand Saturday!

TODAY has been great.  Truly, a WONDERFUL SATURDAY!

Lana Turner....Style Soul Indeed!

POWERHOUSE MOVIES ENCHANT US. Watched the classic 1940s film with the mighty Lana Turner, recently...Of Course I mean, 'The Postman Always Rings Twice.'  This one has tons of smoldering intensity and Lana Turner dominates the wild screen.  This film can really amazingly entertain us all.

Zoot Sims...Creative Sax Guy

SAXOPHONE GUYS like Zoot Sims are so very impressive.  I listened this Thursday to Mr. Sims and was delighted once more with his brilliant and so right-on mainstream approach to his jazz playing.  The man was heavily influenced by the immortal Ben Webster, a super tenor sax man, himself.  The fellow Zoot Sims displays an uncanny strong ability to draw us into his surging, provacatively complex jazz music.

Nice Writing

THE GOOD terse writing of Ernest Hemingway is a real joy.  He does not use too many adjectives.  His 'Torrents' is a fine tome.
